On May 5, 1863 in Nørre Vinge Kirke (Church), Sønderlyng Herred, Viborg Amt, Denmark Augusta married Herman Gustav Theodor Walther, son of Christoffer Ludvig Walther and Dorothea Elise Ulricha Bloch. Her husband had been raised in substantial wealth and found it difficult to cope with life and work in general. He went from job to job. After 17 years, they divorced in 1880 in Randers, DK and Augusta worked at various jobs to support the children. She remained close to her six children until her death in Oct. 24, 1914.
In 1906, her daughter, Louise, then 47 yrs. old went to Denmark from Kenmare, ND for the last time.
