GUNSHOT DEATH HELD ACCIDENT

Midvale - The death of Allan Dumas, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dumas, 44 Fifth Ave., Midvale, was termed a result of an accidental gunshot wound by an inquest jury Tuesday afternoon.
The three-man jury returned the verdict after hearing several witnesses before Justice of the Peace C. E. Matthews.
Young Dumas was accidentally shot in the back of the head with a .22 caliber pistol Sunday about 1:15 p.m. as he and four companions were on their way rabbit hunting near Herriman, Salt Lake County. He died Monday at 12:25 a.m. without regaining consciousness.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in Midvale Second Ward Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, by H. Chad Beckstead, first counselor.
Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 16 W. Center, Midvale, Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the family residence Friday from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in Midvale City Cemetery.
