Danny was born on March 24, 1938 in Kentucky to the late Pearl and Irma (Blatton) Spicer.
He married Alice Ohrman on Sept. 16, 1958 in Louisville, Ky.
Danny was a resident of Minden City for 15 years. He was a crew chief in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a commercial carpenter in the Detroit area for 45 years. Member of the Burhams-Hagedon American Legion Post No. 197 of Harbor Beach and a member of the Marlette Sportsman Club. Danny loved woodcarving, especially carving ducks. He also loved to travel and spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Danny is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Alice of Minden City; three sons, Danny Spicer Jr. of Tampa, Fla., Damon Spicer of Port Huron, Larry Spicer of Tampa, Fla.; three daughters, Dana Morgan of Minden City, Deanne Membreno and her husband, Nery, of Ontario, Calif., Dawn Spicer of Colton, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Trisha Cochran and her husband, Bill, of Jacksonville, Fla.; one brother, Chris Spicer and his wife, Bonnie, of Grafton, West Virginia.
Danny was preceded in death by one son, Dion; one sister, Levetta; one brother, Larry.
Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2008 at the Smigielski Funeral Home in Minden City. Karen Bouverette, Chaplin of Heartland Hospice, will officiate. Cremation will take place in Bay City.
Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. on Friday at the Smigielski Funeral Home on Cass Ave. in Minden City.
