Ora Bell Worrill, 95, of Abbeville, formerly of Donalds, SC, wife of the late Paul K. Worrill, Jr., died peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Abbeville County to the late Oscar L. and Clara Baldwin Smith.
Mrs. Worrill retired from the Huggins Garment Company in Donalds, after 25 years of service. She was a lifetime member and presently the oldest member of the Due West Baptist Church. Mrs. Worrill was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by five brothers, Walter, Elbert, Albert, Dale and Val Smith and two sisters, Helen Chambers and Mae Pruitt.
Surviving Mrs. Worrill are her daughter, Sandra Worrill Norman and her husband Logan of Abbeville, three sisters, Myra Williams of Donalds, Lula Hanks of Honea Path and Mildred McClain of Donalds; a brother, Jim Smith of Myrtle Beach; two grandchildren, Jan Norman and Rob Norman and his wife Kristi all of Abbeville; two great-grandchildren, Casey and Andrew Norman both of Abbeville.
The family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 11:00AM on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Due West Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Funeral services will begin in the church sanctuary at 11:00AM with the Rev. James Bannister officiating. Burial will follow in the Due West Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family is at the home of Jan Norman on Walnut Street in Abbeville.
