"CC" Blankenship, oldest son of William (Bill) and Polly Blankenship. He married Nancy Stephens. He was 24 years old when the youngest sister, Stella Mae, b. 1897, was born. Polly (their mother) died in 1899 and "CC and Nan" raised her as well as some of the other young children. Without them the children may have been orphaned.
