John R. Anspach, 67, passed away June 30, 2014 in his Spring Township residence.

His wife, Denise L. (Beam) Anspach, died in 2011.

Born February 19, 1947 in West Reading, he was a son of Margaret (Anspach) Strouse, Sinking Spring, and the late Woodrow Moyer; and was raised by Sarah and Edward Messner.

He was a 1965 graduate of Wilson High School.

John worked for Firestone, Penn Iron Works, and Lincoln Park Fire Company.

He was a member of St. John's (Hain's) UCC, Wernersville.

John was an avid NASCAR fan and loved supporting his sports teams: Penn State, Miami Dolphins, and the Wilson Bulldogs.

He is survived by his two daughters: Tara Anspach, Reading; and Traci, wife of Robert Emerich, Muhlenberg Township. Also surviving are his brother, James E. Strouse, West Lawn; and five grandchildren: Haley, Jayln, Javon, Olivia, and Noah.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John's (Hain's) UCC Cemetery, Wernersville.
