Murray - George Albert Perkes, 70, 63 Regal St. (4700 S. Main), died Sunday, 1:30 a.m., at his home of a heart ailment.
Born March 4, 1891, Vernal, to Ephraim and Harriet Clark Perkes. Married Cora Ann Higgs, Sept. 27, Richfield. Member Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Boilermaker, employed by Salt Lake County Roads and Bridges Dept.
Survivors: widow; sons, daughters, Albert G., Sparks, Nev.; Owen C., Sandy; Mrs. Wesley (Ellen) Richards, Salt Lake City; Mrs. LeRoy (Betty) Bettin, Grants Pass, Ore.; Mrs. Ed (Clarice) Malain, Los Angeles; 27 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Funeral Thursday, 2 p.m., Midvale Second LDS Ward Chapel, 40 S. Main, Midvale. Friends call 8090 S. State Wednesday 6-8 p.m., Thursday prior. Burial, Midvale City Cemetery.
