Biographical Sketch - Iowa Township
ANDREW SMITH, farmer, Sec. 23; P. O. Sabula; was born in Ireland in 1808; he came to the United States in 1827; he lived in Canada; thence to Malone, N. Y.; he was engaged on public work for many years, in different parts of the country; he came to Jackson Co., and made a claim of the farm he now owns in 1837. He married Mary Sheridan, a native of Ireland; she died in February, 1879; has eight children--Hannah, Henry, Andrew, Mary, Ellen, Kate, Bridget and Julia. He belongs to the Catholic Church.
