Betty Skinner, 81, of Keller, TX, formerly Normangee, TX, passed away in her home Thursday, June 26. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 1, at 11 am in Normangee, TX at Cozart Funeral Home. Bro. Bob Shirley will preside over services. Burial will follow at the MT. Tabor Cemetery in Madison County, TX.

Betty Martin was born in Normangee, TX June 7, 1933 to her parents Clyde and Mary (Guinn) Martin. She was married to her husband of 50 years Clarence O'Neal "Sonny" Skinner in 1951. They lived most of their lives in Houston, but Sonny retired in 1985 and they moved back to Normangee. Betty was an avid boater and water skier until her later years. She loved to play Bridge and always wanted to be around friends and family. In January 2007 she moved to Dallas Senior Living and made lots of new friends there.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Clyde and Mary Martin; her husband Clarence "Sonny" Skinner; and three sibling, two brothers and a sister.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Skinner and wife Kim, and Steve Skinner and wife Phyllis; six grandsons, Bryan Skinner and wife Sarah, Joseph Skinner and wife Dianne, Brett Skinner, Cody Skinner, Cole Skinner, and Carson Skinner; and four great grandchildren, Chloe Skinner, Colton Skinner, Sam Skinner, and Jamie Preston Skinner.
