Married for 53 years to Ethel Morgan, Louis is survived by his wife, three sons, Edward Paulson, Craig Morgan, Garth Morgan and daughter, Sandra Morgan, grand daughter, Samantha DeMillo and great-grandchildren, Alice and Luke and many friends and extended family members. Louis was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Castro Valley since 1967.

Born in Pocatello Idaho, Louis spent his youth on farms there and in Nevada, and the cities of San Francisco and El Cerrito. Louis graduated from El Cerrito High School and earned an Associate Degree from Contra Costa College. Following his love of aviation, Louis joined the Air National Guard during the Korean War and later the Air Force Academy, where he trained as a navigator; later he became private pilot and continued to enjoy aviation.

After leaving the Air Force, Louis met Ethel in 1958 and they married a year later. In 1967 the family moved from El Cerrito to Castro Valley, where Louis and Ethel have lived since.

Louis started work in the lighting industry in 1958, started his own lighting business in 1983 and continued to work in his business until 2010.

Louis was a cheerful man with an infectious personality, laugh and smile. He was loved and will be missed by many. Louis passed away peacefully at home with his family on March 10th, at the age of 79.

A celebration of his life will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 20080 Redwood Road, in Castro Valley on Friday, March 14th at 11am with a gathering of family and friends at the Fellowship Hall at the Church, following the service.

Louis was the son of Melvena and DeSales Chester Morgan; brother of Patricia Morgan.

At the time of the 1940 census, the family was living in San Francisco, California.
