From his obit: "GROTON -- Everett Roger Hobart, 76, of North Groton Road, died Feb. 22, 2006, at his home, after a brief illness.

He was born in Hebron Aug. 30, 1929, the son of Frank W. and Edna M. (Rogers) Hobart, and was a resident of Hebron and Groton all of his life. Mr. Hobart was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.

He worked for many years as a logger for several companies in the area and he was a press operator for 19 years for IPC in Bristol. He also had a firewood business in Groton.

Mr. Hobart was a member of the American Legion Post 1, in Laconia. He was an avid Red Sox fan and loved to hunt fish, and spend time with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, April Hobart, in 1965.

Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St., Plymouth.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Hebron Village Cemetery. The Rev. Brian Fullerton, pastor of Gateway Alliance church, will officiate."New Hampshire Union Leader (Manchester, NH) - Thursday, February 23, 2006
