DENNISON, Ellen J. of Hamilton passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Hospice of Hamilton at the age of 86. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 25, 1927, the daughter of the late Harvey and Edna (Meinberg) Beyer. She was a 1945 graduate of Hamilton High School On July 5, 1947, in Hamilton, she married Woodrow ("Woody") W. Dennison, and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2011 after a loving marriage of 64 years. Ellen was a life-long member of the Lindenwald United Methodist Church, where she participated in the women's Bible study, worked on the church's newsletter, and for numerous years she visited church members who resided in nursing homes. She happily worked for many years for Dr. Stanley Miller in Hamilton. Ellen enjoyed caring for her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader and loved working on puzzles, crocheting, cooking, and baking. Ellen possessed a strong faith in God, a caring nature, and a fun sense of humor. She loved to laugh. Ellen will be missed by her loving children Rob Dennison (Kim), Carolyn Roark (Danny), and Linda Stegmann (Lee); her grandchildren Destiny Fleener (Tyson), Jennifer Dennison, Amy Oblak (Jim), Dan Roark (Kristin), Sharon Barone (late Walter Davis), Laura Lytle (Jonathan), Mark Stegmann, and great-grandchildren Brendon Barone, Ellie Lytle, Katelyn Stegmann, Andrew Stegmann, Hailey Stegmann, Angel Rose Fleener, Asher Fleener, and Aidan Roark, along with her sister-in-law, Nancy Kellum and her nieces and nephews. Ellen was also preceded in death by her sister, Verna Niederman, and brother, Robert "Bob" Beyer. The family wishes to thank Mercy Hospital in Fairfield, Mercy Heart Institute, Fairfield Medical Group, Dr. Mark Kirkham, Nurse Practitioner Connie Reifenberger, Dr. Stephen Martin, Dr. Bhupendra Mahida, Dr. William Krall, Dr. Rola Rimawi and staff at Doverwood Village, Fairfield Infusion Center nurses, Nancy Milazzo, Beth Brown, and Glenda Fields, caregiver Dottie Barker, the Visiting Nurses Association, and the nurses and staff of Hospice of Hamilton, for their loving and compassionate care of Ellen. A special thank you to many caring friends for all of their prayers and support for Ellen. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the funeral immediately following at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 3950 Pleasant Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio with Pastor Ed Beck officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Burial Park, 2421 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio.
