Alice Hallsey Nielsen, 80, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, returned to her Heavenly Father, November 8, 1993 in Murray, Utah.
She was born July 21, 1913 in American Fork, Utah, to James F. and Erlynne Clark Hallsey. She was married to Lawrence Arthur Nielsen in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, June 3, 1936. Lawrence preceded her in death June 3, 1980. Alice was a very active member in the LDS Church, holding many positions during her life. She loved to do temple work. She loved to cook for her family and was a very loving and giving person. Alice loved her family and friends, ceramics and reading. Her family and their accomplishments were a source of great pride to her. Alice was a food service worker at Midvale Junior High School for many years. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors: children, Robert L. and Romola Nielsen, West Valley; Lynn A. and Bonnie Nielsen, Midvale; N. Jay and Gaylene Nielsen, Bennion; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; brother, James Floyd Hallsey, American Fork; sisters, Mildred Peters, Helen Dunlap, both Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 12, 1993 at 12 noon in the Midvale 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 75 Olympus St., Midvale. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday at the church from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
