She was active at the First United Methodith Church as a Sunday school teacher and in the UMW women. She was active in the Alpha Delta Kappa, a teacher service sorority, and she was a member of the Matrons study club.
Survivors include two daughters, four grandchildren and five great-grandsons.
Funeral service will be held Monday, December 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Sylacauga. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Lewis Archer officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church or BB Comer Memorial Library.
