Shirley M. Mooney, 57, of Rockport Route 1, died at 1:56 am Monday, August 23, 1993 in Blessing Hospital at 11th in Quincy. Born Feb. 18, 1936 in Rockport, Mrs. Mooney was a daughter of Charles K. and Velma Blackledge Foster. She married Sharon L. "Jigs" Mooney Aug. 20, 1955. He survives. Mrs. Mooney was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and a sister. Mrs. Mooney was a homemaker and an avid gardener. Survivors also include three sons, two daughters, two brothers, two sisters and nine grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 10:30 am Wednesday in Ward Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill by Rev. Jay Keele. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery at Atlas. Memorials may be made to the American Red cross for flood relief.
