Daddy was born in Caddo Texas but spent most of his young life in Strawn Texas, In 1952 he met his true love Genelle where she worked as a car hop at the Porky Pig
drive-in. They were inseparable and fearing that Genelle was to young for that kind of feelings grandmother (Callie) sent her to Newfoundland, Canada to stay with Uncle Ealy (brother) and Aunt Mary. She returned in 1954 and love prevailed and they were married on October 2, 1954. Daddy was drafted into the army and served at Nuremberg, Germany for two years. They bought a house in Strawn and started raising a family, daddy worked for Montgomery Ward as an Appliance Technician and then as a driver for RJ Caraway delivering propane. He started the first local Boy Scouts chapter and Momma started the cub scouts chapter where they had many adventures with the kids of Strawn. In 1972 we moved to Houston Texas where daddy began working for his brother n law doing millwork. Daddy excelled at woodworking and within a year him and momma started Roberson Trim & Cabinets, we moved to Conroe Texas (1974) where us girls were raised. Our house was always open to anyone in need.
Daddy passed his master woodworking on to his son Mark, and two daughters Chris and Carla. In 2004 Dad and Mom celebrated their golden anniversary. In 2008 mom passed away suddenly and daddy never really recovered from losing her. On October 28, 2015 daddy passed away in his home with his family.
He is survived by his four children: Mark, Chris (Jerry), Rhonda (Brian), Carla (Keith).
His grandchildren Robert, Brandon, Ashley, (Joshua), Brett (Bobbie), Amanda, Ethan, Casey, Caleb, Garrett, Heather (Scotty). Granddaughter in law Amanda;
five great grandchildren - Summer, Tyler, Madison, Molly, William.
