SANDRA K. (MUTSCHLER) GOODWIN, 76, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1931, her family moved to Fort Wayne in 1942. She graduated from North Side High School and moved to Decatur in 1950, marrying Robert Mutschler in 1951. Residing in Decatur until 1989, she and Robert retired to Florida.
Following Robert's death, she returned to the Fort Wayne area and married Gerald C. (Gerry) Goodwin. She is the daughter of Reid and Evelyn Erekson of Decatur; sister to Gary Erekson and wife, Janice, Greta Schnepf and husband Roger, Taya Cowan and husband John; mother to Kristine Payne and husband John, Robert Mutschler Jr., and Randal Mutschler and wife Deirdre; grandmother to Amanda and Braden Schrag, Andrew and Alison Payne, Maddison and Reid Mutschler; and great-grandmother to Ava Schrag; step-son, G. Gregory (Julie) Goodwin; and stepdaughter, Angela (Brad) Alger.
Memorial service is 1 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2007, at The Chapel, 2505 W. Hamilton, Fort Wayne. Pastor Mark Clough officiating. Arrangements by D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park, 1320 E. Dupont Road. Memorials to American Cancer Society.
