Sarah was the daughter of and Margaret VAN ZANDT Girton.

She was the second wife of Austin BOND. They were married on February 3rd, 1852 in Putnam Co., IN. Austin had three living children from his previous marriage to Anna WILSON. Sarah and Austin had another twelve children together. They were:
