Gordon A. McGough, 73, 920 Shasta Drive, died at home Oct. 6, 1989.

At his request, cremation was held. There will be a private family memorial.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, St. Mary's Home Health or a charity of the donor's choice through Groseclose Garden Chapel, 34 Boyer Ave.

Mr. McGough was born Sept. 21, 1916, in Wenatchee to Bert and Edna McGough. He graduated from Wenatchee High School and attended Whitman College, where he was a member of Beta Theta Phi fraternity.

On Nov. 12, 1941, he married Mary Webb in Santa Rosa, Calif.

In 1941, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and served as captain on active duty for four years. After the service, he worked as a cattle rancher and wheat farmer in Heppner.

In 1953 McGough and his wife returned to Walla Walla, where they farmed in the Prescott area until his death.

He was a member of the Walla Walla Grain Growers, Washington Association of Wheat Growers, life member of B.P.O.E. No. 287 and a veteran of the Army Air Corps.

He is survived by his wife, at home; a daughter, Julie Drischell of Walla Walla; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bill McGough of Opihikao, Hawaii, and Jim and Penny McGough of Prescott; two brothers, Dr. Stan McGough of Spray, Oreg., and Dr. Ken McGough of Manzanita, Ore.; a sister, Lois Williams of Wenatchee; two grandsons, David and Brian Drishell of Walla Walla; two granddaughters, Ryan and Erin McGough of Centralia; and a step-grandson, Chad McGough of Prescott.
