Jamie was born Aug. 18, 1919 to Jim and Dena Brown in Simpson Co. She married John Lee Ray, Former Deputy Chief for JPD, in 1939. They were married 30 years and resided in Jackson until his passing in 1969. A lifelong Methodist, she was a current member at Alta Woods United Methodist Church. Jamie loved her Boston Terriers, traveling, and playing dominoes.
Survivors include: daughters, Donna Ray of Pearl, MS and Marlene (Rusty) Tillman of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Ronald (Maria) Marsalis, Eric (Melissa) Ingram, Ryan Tillman, and Shane (Travis) Haas; great-grandchildren: Monica Wilkie-Kruger, Aubrey and Ashlyn Ingram, and Gavin and Dane Haas; great-great-grandchild, Bentley Kruger; and her dog, Missy.
