Mrs. Effie Irene Morgan, 79, of 345 Frazier Ave, died Monday at St Thomas Hospital after a short illness.
A native of Haralson County, Georgia, Mrs. Morgan lived in Akron for 44 years. She was a charter member of the Chapel of Fir Hill.
She leaves two sons, John R Jr, Akron, and Alva C, Miami, Oklahoma; daughter, Mrs. Jeanette-Josephson, Houston, Texas; brother, S S Moore, Georgia; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Spain and Mrs. Eloise Hopkins, Georgia; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1pm Thursday at Eckard-Baldwin funeral home where friends may call from 2-4pm and 7-9pm Wednesday. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
