Michael Ross Abblett, 5-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter (Leota Betz) Abblett, of 1145 Second Ave., Gallipolis, died at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday in Children’s Hospital, Columbus. The boy had been in failing health for one year. His condition had been serious the past week. He was born in Gallipolis on Aug. 18, 1961.
Surviving in addition to his parents are three brothers, Ron and Tom Keenan of Gallipolis and Tim Abblett, Alliance, O. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Harry Betz, Gallipolis, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Abblett of Ventura, Calif. Great grandmothers are Mrs. Ethel Betz, Gallipolis, and Mrs. John Straight, Northup. He was a member of Grace Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Paul Bauders at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Friday.
Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home between 2 and 4 and 7 and 9 p.m. Thursday.
