Mary Fanslau

Mrs. Rudolph Fanslau, lifelong Two Rivers resident, died at the home,
1601 21st street, at 11:30 am today, following a heart stroke suffered
two hours earlier. She had been in good health up to the time of being
stricken. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm from the St.
John's Lutheran church in Two Rivers with the Rev. W. G. Haase
officiating. Interment will be in Pioneers' Rest Cemetery.
Mrs. Fanslau, nee Mary Reick was born at the Tannery in the town of Two
Rivers, March 8, 1864 and moved to Two Rivers with her parents when an
infant. She was married Oct. 2, 1890 and the couple celebrated their
golden wedding anniversary four years ago.
She was one of the organizers and a charter member of the Ladies Aid of
St. John's church and was a member of the Two Rivers Charitable association.
Survivors are the husband; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Martin of Two
Rivers and Mrs. Arthur Munz of Milwaukee; a brother, Michael Reick of
Legerwood, N.D., and four grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the Beduhn funeral home from 7 pm Thursday to
10 am Saturday when it will be taken to the church to lie in state until
the time of the funeral.
