Christine M. Galagan, 87, Havre, died Sunday at a Havre rest home. A memorial Mass is scheduled Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Jude's Catholic Church with Father Jack Harrington officiating.
Mrs. Galagan was born Sept. 24, 1902, at Waubay, S.D. Her family moved to Frazee, Minn., where she attended school. She received her nurse's training in Detroit Lakes, Minn. Mrs. Galagan worked for a local doctor in Frazee, and later she moved to Detroit, Mich, where she continued her nursing. She served as a nursing supervisor and training instructor.
In July 1938, in Detroit, Mich., she married Clifford J. Galagan. After their marriage the couple lived in Detroit until they retired. They then moved to Faribault, Minn. Her husband died in 1976.
She was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church; the Catholic Daughters of America and the Havre Senior Citizens.
She had been a resident of the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd since Sept. 1, 1986.
Mrs. Galagan was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by two brothers, Dave Wambeke of Detroit Lakes, Minn., and Dan Wambeke of Ocean Springs, Miss.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
