Travis Michael Stallcup
1991 - 2006
Travis Michael Baldwin Stallcup Sept. 29, 1991 Jan. 26, 2006 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to present with the Lord. II Corinthians 5.8 Travis went to be with the Lord after a short stay in this world. He was loved by all. His best friend was Joshua his brother. He loved his skateboard and his long curls. Joshua, Travis and other friends including Evan always spent their extra time doing tricks and hanging out by Movie Gallery. His brother Joshua says, We were together constantly. Words cant describe the feelings that I feel right now, but I know for a fact he is looking over us right now wanting us not to be sad and keep skating. So I have one thing to say and thats, Skate for Travis. He will truly be missed. He leaves behind his mother, Laura Chewning; father, Kenneth Stallcup; stepfather, James Chewning; grandfather, Don Stallcup; brother, Joshua Bruce; sister, Amber Skillman; niece, Chloe; nephew, Jared; numerous stepbrothers and stepsisters. Pallbearers will be Joshua Bruce, Sam Valdez, Eric Brokins, Cole Hensley, matt Beyer and Jeremy David. God had a purpose and a plan for your life Travis. As He saw fit, it was fulfilled and He took you home. I love you Travis and I thank God for the time He gave me with you Love Mom. Viewing begins Monday from 4-8 p.m., at Kern River Family Mortuary, 1900 N. Chester Ave. Services will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2006, 10:00 a.m., at His House Of Refuge Church, 106 Wilson Avenue, across from Standard Middle School. Everyone is invited to remember Travis. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Session Ministries, 4808 Hahn Ave., #22, Bakersfield, CA 93309 for Travis dream to build a skateboard park behind Standard School in Oildale.
