Michael J. Mancuso, 54, of Sioux Falls, SD died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 AM Wednesday, June 25 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, Sioux Falls, with burial at St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation begins at 5:00 PM Tuesday, June 24 at George Boom Funeral Home, Sioux Falls, where the family will greet friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Mike Mancuso, the son of Joe and Virginia Mancuso, was born on January 11, 1960 in Sioux Falls. He grew up there and graduated from O'Gorman High School in 1978.
From an early age, Mike was a train enthusiast. He spent much of his leisure time building and painting model trains. He was also interested in the history of the American West and avidly read on that subject.
Mike was employed at Southeastern Behavioral Health at the time of his death.
