Dean Lawrence Woods, 80 of Menan died Friday, June 20, 2014, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Dean was born November 5, 1933, in Kingston, Utah to Lawrence Wesley Woods and Carmaletta Brindley Woods. He was raised and attended school in Kingston, Utah. Dean worked as a freight dock forman for Garrett Freight Lines and a Teamster Warehouseman for 30 years at the I.N.E.L. Dean was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Faye Olive Robbins on September 14, 1952 in Rigby, Idaho their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls L.D.S. Temple in 1967. Dean enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, square dancing, ball room dancing and especially loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Faye Woods of Menan, daughter Kathy Woods Wheeler of Rigby, sons Wesley D. (Suzanne) Woods of Rigby, Rick (Sherry) Woods of Menan, four sisters, Deanna Dawson of Ririe, Debra Rumsey, Marquetta (Charles) Harrison, Melanie (Reese) Clawson all of Idaho Falls, nine grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Leston and Kirby, one grandson Kendall and one great grandson Kellen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday June 25, 2014, at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel 101 West Main Street, Rigby. The family will visit with friends Tuesday evening 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
