Bobby Joe "BJ" Garcia Jr., age 23 of Kendleton and formerly of Wharton passed away Wednesday, June 18th, 2014 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Ft. Bend County. He was born on August 15, 1990 in Wharton, TX, to parents Bobby Joe Garcia Sr. and Marcy Villarreal. Bobby Joe was a raised in Wharton and later moved to Kendleton, TX. He attended Wharton High School.

He worked in the construction business and landscaping. His son was the highlight of his life. Bobby enjoyed spending time with his family, helping others, BBQing, fishing and he was known for never saying no to anyone.

Serving as pallbearers were Juan Reyes, Jr., Steven Garcia, Ryder Garcia, Alex Garcia, Phillip Castillo, Zach Garcia, Gabriel Garcia, Henry Gusman, Nico Garza, Simon Alcalar, Hank Gusman, William Ballejo, Andrew Gusman, Billy Gusman, Ryan Gusman and Thomas Garcia. Survivors include his wife Shady Garcia and their son Bobby Joe Garcia III parents Marcy and husband Pete Villarreal and Bobby Joe Garcia Sr., grandparents Lydia and husband Louis Garza, Henry and wife Patsy Gusman, Eva Rodriguez and Natividad Garcia, sister Jayde Anne Vitalia Garcia, brother, Ryder Nat Garcia. Many family and friends also survive him.

Burial following the mass is at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Wharton, TX.

Funeral services were under the direction of the Wharton Funeral Home.
