Frances Blecha Brzon, daughter of Joseph and Louise Blecha, was born September 4, 1877, near Humboldt, Neb. She passed away in St. Joseph hospital in Concordia Wednesday morning, October 26, 1960, at the age of 83 years, one month and 22 days.
She received her education in the school in the area where she was born.
She married Michael Brzon October 4, 1898, in Pawnee City, Neb. To this union nine children were born.
Since 1913 the Brzons have made their home near Republic and it was here that friends and relatives were always welcome.
The Brozons celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary October 4, 1960. Her favorite pastime was reading, she was interest in all affairs of dress styles, politics, honesty, betterment of the community and took great delight in current events.
Being preceded in death by her parents, two infant children, and five brothers, she leaves her husband, Michael of Republic; son, Arthur of Belleville; daughters, Olga Vishnefske of Scandia, Ottilie Vanous of Belleville, Helen Marsicek of Narka, Frances Palecek of Munden, Wilma Cerny of Belleville; son, Michael, jr., of the home; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Joe Rundus; two brothers, William and Adolph Blecha, all of Belleville; other relatives and friends.
Services were held at Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart funeral home October 28, by Maurice Graham, minister of the Christian church, with burial in Belleville cemetery.
