Donald L. McKinney 78 of Kokomo passed away at 12:30pm Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at his residence. Donald was born June 7, 1936 in Lincoln, Minnesota to the late Claude E. and Martha Lenora McKinney (Fipps) Donald worked at T.G.R. Signs for 15 years. Donald loved to fish. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Donald enjoyed his coffee and his cigarettes.
Survivors include a son Steven L. McKinney (Amber), two daughters Genieveve McKinney-Cox (Terry), Anglie McKinney (David E. Baker), a brother Raymond McKinney (Marcella), two sisters Mary Wisehart (Roger), and Martha Weber (Emmett), nine grandchildren, Nora, Steven, Ruby, Kelly, Jerry, George, Brad, Peyton, Brandyn, and several great-grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Helen M. McKinney, a son Donald E. McKinney, along with three brothers and seven sisters.
Visitation will be from 5pm – 8pm Monday, June 23, 2014 at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 South Main Street. Services will be at 11am Tuesday, June 24, 2014 also at the Mortuary with Rich Davis officiating. Burial will take place in Albright Cemetery.
