Born Oct. 11, 1925, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Ernestine (Pappalard) Orlando.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler, was a homemaker, and had volunteered at Butler Memorial Hospital for more than 30 years.
Surviving are her son; two sisters; one granddaughter; two great- granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Smith, who died Dec. 19, 1989; four brothers; and two sisters.
SMITH - There will be no visitation for Nancy J. Smith, who died Friday, July 1, 2011. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Mausoleum Chapel of Calvary Cemetery in Butler. The Rev. Steven V. Neff, pastor, will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
Arrangements are by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
