Funeral services for Mrs. Otah Caroline Keen, 53, of Lebanon, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 9, at the Assembly of God Church with Rev. Bill Baker officiating. Mrs. Keen died at her home April 6, following a lingering illness.
Songs were "Gathering Home," "I'll Have a New Life" and "Heaven is nearer."
Interment was in the White Oak Pond cemetery with services under the direction of the Colonial Funeral Chapel. Escorts were George Berry, Elwood Gann, Gene Weddle, Lloyd Weaver, Ted Weddle, and C. E. Caffey.
Otah Caroline Hemphill, daughter of Alfred and Own Hemphill, was born February 23, 1909 in Lebanon. Her entire life was spent in and around Lebanon.
On October 26, 1929 she was united in marriage with Joe Keen, and to this union five sons and two daughters were born.
About 16 years ago, she accepted Christ and united with the Assembly of God Church. She lived a faithful Christian life until her death. She was noted for being a good wife, mother and neighbor.
Survivors include her husband, Joe of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Jolleffe, Edgemont, California and Mrs. Tinie Cooper living in Germany; five sons, Raymond and Billy, both of Lebanon; Robert of the state of Nebraska; and Marvin and Ervin, both of the home; and 12 grandchildren. She also leaves her mother, Mrs. Own Hemphill; three brothers, Tom and Andy Hemphill, both of Lebanon; and Amos of Nebraska; and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Moore, Denver Colorado and Mrs. Eva Rogers, Camdenton.
