Earl Swink, 81, Uniontown, died today at 2:10 a.m. at Mercy Hospital.

He was born at Humansville, Mo., April 26, 1889, the son of John and Mary Leffler Swink. He moved to the Uniontown area in 1906. He married Naomi Ruth Treadway, Dec. 21, 1913, at Erie, Kan. She died July 10, 1967. Mr. Swink was a member of the Uniontown Baptist Church.

Earl was a farmer and carpenter. He built many houses and buildings in the Uniontown area. He was a master at pouring and finishing concrete and built a new brick home for he and Ruth in Uniontown in 1961.

Surviving are six children, Mrs. Glen (Adna) Dalton, Mrs. Bill (Luella) Miller and John L. Swink, Uniontown, Edward E. Swink, Bronson, Mrs. Leonard (Betty) Sexton of Downey, Calif, and Mrs. Frank (Emogene) Jaquay, Smartsville, Calif.; two brothers and three sisters, Fred Swink and Mrs. Addie Typer, Uniontown, Oscar Swink and Mrs. Lula Turner of California and Mrs. Leola Keith, Girard, there are 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Uniontown Baptist Church with Rev. Deane Endicott officiating.

Burial will be in Uniontown Cemetery under the direction of Earl's Memorial Home.
