Ephraim Ripple died yesterday morning at 1 o'clock at the home of his son, Charles Ripple, 616 North Cedar street. Mr. Ripple was eighty eight years old and a native of Kentucky. He came here fourteen years ago. He is survived only be his son as a near relative. The funeral was held this morning at 8 o'clock at the home, Rev E. E. Shoufler, officiating. The burial was at the appohoose cemetery.Ottawa Herald, 5 Jul. He was the son of Michael Ripple Jr. who was a veteran of the war of 1812 (battle of NO) and 1832 blackhawk war (IL). Grandson of Michael Ripple Sr. Rev war vet.
