She was married to Charles Barfield and was a homemaker and a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church.
Thelma was 83 years old and a resident of Indian Mound, Tennessee when she passed away on June 18, 2014 at Manor House of Dover.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother Preston McCord and by her sister Frances (McCord) Vincent, she is survived by four sons; two daughters; twelve grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Dunbar Chapel Cemetery at Indian Mound.
