Nancy Herrington was born ca 1862, per the 1880 census listing where she was enumerated in the household of her stepfather, Louis Stevens.
Nancy married 9/26/1880 to her stepbrother John H. "Jake" Stephens, son of Louis Stevens and his first wife Isabella Berryhill. According to John's obituary, he and Nancy had one daughter, Annie, and Nancy died a few years later. According to census records, Annie was born circa 1881, so I believe Nancy died before 1885. She could possibly be buried in the Providence Cemetery or the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, both near Ringgold, Bienville, Louisiana, in an unmarked grave.
