He was a carpenter. Son of David Huddleston born Nashville, TN, and Elizabeth Robinson born Illinois, married 1850. His father married Mary Catherine Ellis in November 1857.

Tom C. Huddleston, 77, resident of Rock Island ninetten years and former employee of the Rock Island Sash and Door Works, died in the residence of a daughter, Mrs. H.R. Tanner, 1916 Twenty-fourth street, Rock Island, at 4 yesterday afternoon. Death followed nine days' illness caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Huddleston had not been well for the last three years.
Born in Colchester on April 7, 1855 (note SSI & Ill death show Aug 7 1855). Mr. Huddleston received his early education in the school at Plymouth. On July 1, 1883, he married Miss Ella Wager of LeHarp. Mrs. Huddleston died in 1913.
Shortly after the death of his wife. Mr. Huddleston, moved with his family to Rock Island, where the home had since been made. He was employed at the Rock Island Sash and Door works for a number of years, retiring several years ago. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. W.E. Douglas and Mrs. H.R. Tanner, both of Rock Island, and Mrs. E.G. Robbins of Stillwell, Ill.; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandson; five sisters, Mrs. Aletha Zumalt of Oakland, Cal., Mrs. Emma Davis of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Maggie Hughs of Vandalia, Mrs. Fred Douglas of Bentley, and Mrs. Mary Hedrick of Denver, Ill.; and four brothers, Dick, Clark and Lee Huddleston, all of Plymouth, and William Huddleston of Whitehall, Mont. Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1 Saturday afternoon in Knox funeral chapel. The Rev. J.L. Vance of the Oak Grove United Presbyterian church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
