Ruby Mae Fowler, 80, of 915 Old Melvin Hill Road, Campobello, Sc, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Willow Ridge Rehab & Living Center, Rutherfordton, NC.
Ruby was born in Spartanburg County, SC on January 13, 1934, a daughter of the late Forrest and Ethel (Watkins) Plumley.
She was the widow of Charles Fowler, retired from Beaumont Mills and was of the Baptist faith.
Ruby is survived by a daughter, Cathy Abernathy, of Campobello; two sons Larry Barnette, of Spartanburg; Jerry Barnette, of Campobello; a sister, Pauline Wooten, of Inman; two brothers, James Plumley, of Campobello; Arnold Plumley, of Campobello and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC, at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 18, 2014.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, P0 Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
