Barbara Hughes Cannon, 87, of Kula and Honolulu, died Jan. 4, 2009, at The Queen's Medical Center.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 24 at Makawao Union Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Race to Heal Inc., 2226 Liliha St., Room 308, Honolulu 96817. Ultimate Funeral Services of Hawaii is assisting with the arrangements.
Mrs. Cannon was born Aug. 20, 1921, in Puunene. She was the widow of the late Bank of Hawaii Chairman/Chief Executive Officer Wilson P. Cannon Jr.
She is survived by a daughter, Patty (Steve) Mazingo; two sons, Peter (Tracey) Cannon and Thomas (Agnes) Cannon; three sisters, Maybelle Helfrich, Nevis deLaveaga and Jackie Bonnett; two brothers, Donald Hughes and Richard Hughes; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
