Dorothy, the daughter of Orville Stroud and Hazel F. Carter, was the wife of Ralph Dudley Free. Additionally, she was a neighbor, good friend, and relative of my grandmother, Lena Leota ("Leota") Vernon McDonald Moon, in Valeene, Orange County, Indiana where they lived. Both Leota and Dorothy were descendants of Silas Dean Stroud. sjm

Dorothy's husband, Ralph Dudley Free, was born April 8, 1917 in Orange County, Indiana, to Joel Elvet Free and Anna Glenn Free. Ralph died October 19, 1994 in Orange County, Indiana. Dorothy is buried beside him in Bluff Springs Cemetery.
