Aleene Broughton Dailey, 89, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2001, in Cortez. Mrs. Dailey lived in the Four Corners area for 30 years. Burial will take place at Pomona Valley Memorial Park in Pomona, Calif.
Mrs. Dailey was born Feb. 12, 1912 in Altona, Mo., to Earl and Gerty Broughton. She married William Dailey on Oct. 16, 1932 in Wichita, Kans. Mrs. Dailey was a direct descendant of both presidents Benjamin Harrison and William Henry Harrison. Throughout her career, she was a nurse, mostly in California. She was a loving and devoted mother.
She is survived by her sons, Herb Dailey of Salt Lake City and William Dailey of Dolores, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death on June 12, 1989.
