On May 6th, 2014, a call came in to 911 saying that a baby was choking. When police got to the home, they found Logan unresponsive and CPR was started, though it was obvious that choking was not the problem. Injuries were clearly visible on Logan's body suggested he was being abused. Logan was life flighted to Children's Hospital where he was placed on life support. Police said that Logan's injuries were not consistent with anything related to life saving efforts or to choking. Logan was taken off of life support on one week later and he sadly died on May 13th. It was later discovered that the Department Of Health And Human Services was part of the lives of this family. Logan’s parents were both being investigated in the death of Logan. Haley Stanfield’s (Logan’s mother) plan was to have her ex-boyfriend killed but this failed when the intended hit man went to police. That man allegedly recorded at least seven separate conversations where Haley Stanfield told him how to commit the murder without being caught. The mother later admitted to abusing her baby to death, but she was sentenced to only 12 years in prison.
