Mary Ann C. Bagby
Mary Ann Isbell Christian Bagby, 74, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February, 17, 2014, after a lengthy illness.
Born on May 3, 1939, she was the middle daughter of Ernest Marvin Isbell and Marjorie Elizabeth Parrish of Mineral.
She graduated from Louisa County High School in 1957 and moved to Richmond to work for the City of Richmond Public Utilities from which she retired after 33 years of service. While in Richmond, she met her first husband, and love of her life, Thomas Franklin Christian. They wed on March 17, 1961. They were married for 35 years when Frank passed away on Thanksgiving Day 1996. Upon his passing, she moved back to Louisa to her parents’ home place to be close to their three sons.
After moving back to Louisa, she was reacquainted with a high school friend, Weldon Eugene "Sparkey" Bagby, to whom she married in September 1998. The two of them enjoyed gardening, going to yard sales, selling baseball cards and other novelty items until Sparkey’s passing January 14, 2013.
