Ms. Geraldine Aldridge, age 70 of Herrin, formerly of Johnston City, died at 10:19 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in the Memorial Hospital in Herrin. She was born July 20, 1943 in Tamms, the daughter of Herman and Ruth Furlow Aldridge.

Geraldine is survived by her mother, Ruth Aldridge of Johnston City; four sisters, Marie Qualls, Loretta Aldridge, Mary Aldridge all off Johnston City, Betty (Paul) Marlow of West Frankfort; one uncle, Raymond (Martha) Furlow of Cobden; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; her loving dog Taco; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Lee Aldridge; and one brother, Carl Lee Aldridge.

Geraldine was of the Baptist Faith. She was warm and loving; she loved spending time with her family. Geraldine will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

Funeral services for Mrs. Geraldine Aldridge will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Pastor Curtis Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Cobden Cemetery. Friends may call after 12:00 noon and until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.
