She was a member of Liberty Wesleyan Church and was a lifelong resident of the Summerfield community.
Burial was held at First Baptist Church in Summerfield, NC.
Survivors: her husband, Mr. Cleveland Clyde Allen; four daughters, Mrs. S. L. Leonard of Kernersville, Mrs. W. C. McHargue of Statesville, Mrs. Earl Long of Greensboro and Mrs. Barbara Butler of the home; two sons, Calvin and James H., both of Greensboro; three sisters, Mrs. Ellen Montgomery, and Mrs. Max Peacock, both of Greensboro, Mrs. J.O. Trexler of Summerfield; four brothers, Robert Brookbank of Summerfield, Jasper, J.E. and Cecil Brookbank, all of Greensboro, 17 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
