Funeral services for Charlie Huff, known as "Oklahoma's Yodeling Cowboy," will be Wednesday. He died Friday at age 78.
Huff, of Moore, was a popular recording artist in the 1940s and 1950s. He once toured with most of the big country stars including Hank Williams, Bob Wills and Gene Sullivan.
One of Huff's original recordings, "Patonia - Pride of the Plains," sold about 70,000 copies initially and eventually enough to earn a gold record.
Huff also was a radio personality on KLPR and KOMA.
"Cowboy Huff" sang for and introduced state four governors.
Services will be Wednesday, Bill Eisenhour Southeast Funeral Home, with burial in Sunny Lane Cemetery
