Gloria Jean (Jeannie) Gordon 70, of Belfast passed away at her home on June 6, 2014. She was born in Northport April 3, 1944 to the late Russell and Isabel Palmer. Jean went to Belfast Schools and later married Alvah (Red) Gordon in 1962. They were married for 52 years.

Jean was a spiritual woman and a beloved member of her town. She was always helping someone in need with a ride or with the church group she started in her home a few years ago. She could frequently be found playing bingo as many times as she could get there, and loved to go to yard sales.

Jean also loved helping her daughter Tina with her thrift store business, and made friends easily with her gentle and caring manner.

She is predeceased by her two sisters Rose Perkins and Eleanor Cunningham and two brothers George Palmer and Maurice Palmer as well as a stepson Dale Gordon.

Jean is survived by her husband Red Gordon, her two daughters, and son in laws Mary and Brett Armstrong of Swanville, and Tina and Larry Hall of Belfast, her grandchildren Amanda Armstrong Hopkins, Dustin Armstrong and Brett Armstrong Jr, and her great grandchildren Christopher, Cassie, Zachary and Kailey. She also welcomed her extended grandchildren Jackson, Audra and Connor, and many special friends.

A graveside service will be held at Smart Cemetery in Belfast officiated by Don Ramsey and music by Pastor Jinwoo Chun. (Riposta Funeral Home)
