Born May 14, 1926, in Castile, a son of Arthur and Lillian Hopkins, he was married to the former Barbara Canfield who survives. A veteran of the Air Force, he was employed by the State Department of Transportation for 19 years. Mr. Hopkins had been a resident of Hunt for 27 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Mildred Sanford of Dalton; a brother, Willard of Dalton; nieces and nephews.
A service was conducted Saturday morning in the Mann Funeral Home of Nunda. Burial was in Hunt Hollow Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nunda Ambulance Fund. (Genesee County Express, July 13, 1989, p4)
