Evelyn T. Elam, the widow of Charlie Elam, passed away on the morning of June 10, 2014. Mrs. Elam was a Nurse at the Baptist Hospital and member of the First United Methodist Church in Covington. Mrs. Elam is survived by her son, Charles Elam (Cathy) of Joelton, TN; daughter, Lina Shankle of Covington; sister, Jean Smith of Covington; grandchildren, Jennifer Winters, Matt Shankle, Blake Shankle, Nick Hanks; great-grandchildren, Brandon Hanks, Will Hanks, Madison Shankle, Kaydance Shankle, and Aiden German. The services for Mrs. Elam will be held on Friday, June 13, at the First United Methodist Church in Covington. Visitation for Mrs. Elam will be held from 12-2, prior to the services.
