She was born June 12, 1915 in Montpelier, a daughter of Heber John and Mary Inez Jones Phelps.
She married Maurice LaVon Beck, Sept. 14, 1932, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Their married life was spent on a farm in Ovid.
She was a member of the Liberty Ward and had held positions in the Relief Society, Young Womens Organizations, and dance directors.
Her life was one of love and devotion to her family.
Surviving are her husband of Ovid; two daughters, Mrs. Brent (Anita) Weston, Roy; Mrs. Garry C. (Mary Lynn) Jorgensen, Hyde Park; one son, John Preston and wife Mary of Oxnard, Ca.; 26 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. A special son-in-law and wife, Joe and Renate Weston, Laketown.
She was preceded in death by a son and daughter, Maurice Floyd and Arlene.
Funeral services were held in the Liberty LDS Chapel. Burial was held on Tuesday at the Paris Cemetery.
